Vusal Khanlarov
Executive Director

Chief Executive
With JAA since: 1 November, 2005

I joined Junior Achievement Azerbaijan team in November 2005 as the Executive Director. I took over this challenging position with the strong belief that JAA plays an important role in contributing to the future of economically-educated generations in Azerbaijan, which is essential for the country that goes through economical transition period.

Before joining Junior Achievement Azerbaijan I worked for Project Harmony, with which JAA collaborates closely. I studied at the Azerbaijan State Economic University in Baku majoring in International Economic Relations and Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, New York and hold Master's
Degree on International Economics from the Azerbaijan State Economic University.

I am glad to lead this group of professionals and I think JAA has many opportunities for expansion and development that will affect Azerbaijani education system in a positive way.

Natavan Elchiyeva
Program Assistant
Implementation & Counceling
With JAA since:
24 September, 2009

Every motivated person has a goal in his/her life. I always wanted to contribute to the educational part of my country, to be a part of its development, to bring innovative ways for the country’s prospective and bright future. Education is like countless opportunities for the people from closed door areas. That is why I always payed a crucial attention to my education. I entered one of the Azerbaijani Universities and continued my education in the USA. I participated in a number of trainings, lectures which were held locally and internationally on peace, global and educational problems. Being aware that the goal of the organization is to help young people to succeed in a global economy I had a huge will to join it. JAA is a bridge from my goals to their realizations since it is where I can be a viable person for my community members and give a helping hand to the pupils and students from Baku and regions.

QUOTE

Junior Achievement provides teachers, and schools with concrete programmes, and allows students to learn how to put theory into practice and to understand what entrepreneurship is about. In this way students gain self-confidence and motivation, become proactive and learn how to work in a team. This is an important investment in Europe's future.

--- Jose Manuel Barroso,
President of the European Commission
