| SEE Teacher Receives Honorary Teacher of Economics Award from Azerbaijan's President |

 The School Economic Education program teacher from Baku, Ms. Naila Ahmadova received the Honorary Teacher of Economics degree from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Ms. Ahmedova joined Junior Achievement Azerbaijan activities in 2000 from Baku School #132. A year later her school became one of ten schools to pioneer with SEE. In 2002, Naila Ahmadova received the Trainer of Trainers status from JA Azerbaijan and since then has trained more than 200 teachers on economics and SEE activity implementation.
Ms. Ahmadova's students participated in numerous SEE activities. Among their achievements are championships in the National Management and Economics competition in 2002, 2004, and 2007 and VIII place worldwide in the HP Global Business Challenge in 2005. Naila Ahmadova opened an exciting world of economics and business to more than 700 students, who are now engaged in economic studies and business management. On the photo, Azerbaijan's Minister of Education, Dr. Misir Mardanov presents Ms. Ahmadova her Award.

Junior Achievement provides teachers, and schools with concrete programmes, and allows students to learn how to put theory into practice and to understand what entrepreneurship is about. In this way students gain self-confidence and motivation, become proactive and learn how to work in a team. This is an important investment in Europe's future.
